Description
Join an engineering-driven precision manufacturer  building the future of American manufacturing . You'll machine complex, tight-tolerance components for the  aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical industries  while working in a shop that invests in advanced technology, high-quality equipment, and skilled machinists. We're looking for setup machinists who can confidently own the entire setup process - from reading blueprints and G-code to loading tooling, setting offsets, proving out first articles, and making machine-side program adjustments before releasing jobs into production. Compensation $30-$45/hour  (based on experience) Schedule 1st Shift Monday-Friday Overtime available What You'll Do: Perform complete setups on CNC milling machines. Read, interpret, troubleshoot, and edit G-code directly at the machine. Load tooling, set work and tool offsets. Prove out first articles and make program, tooling, and offset adjustments as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, setup sheets, and work instructions. Inspect first-piece parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, workholding, cutter compensation, feeds and speeds, and program execution. Produce tight-tolerance components while maintaining the highest quality standards. Requirements 5+ years of complex CNC milling setup experience. Fluent in G-code  with the ability to confidently read, troubleshoot, and edit programs at the machine. Experience loading tooling, setting work and tool offsets, and proving out new jobs. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills. Experience performing first article inspections and making setup modifications. Proficient with micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Experience machining aerospace, defense, medical, semiconductor, or other tight-tolerance components is highly preferred.
