This role is critical to manufacturing and servicing large energy-industry components used in gas turbines, generators, and related power generation equipment. The CNC Machinist will play an important role in maintaining the quality, precision, and reliability that Siemens Energy customers depend on worldwide. --- The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: • Set up and operate CNC horizontal milling machines and CNC lathes • Perform manual machining operations when required • Load, run, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs • Select tooling, establish machine offsets, and verify setups • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements • Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections • Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards throughout production • Record production, inspection, downtime, and operational data accurately • Remove chips, clean parts, and maintain an organized work area • Safely move materials and components using cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment • Adapt to changing production priorities and support overall shop productivity --- Machines, Controls & Software You'll work with equipment such as: Machines • CNC Horizontal Milling Machines • CNC Lathes • Manual Lathes • Manual Milling Machines Controls • FANUC • Siemens • Okuma Inspection Equipment • Micrometers • Calipers • Gauges • Indicators • Precision Measuring Instruments Material Handling • Overhead Cranes • Fork Trucks • Material Handling Equipment --- Materials You'll Work With • Large gas turbine components • Power generation equipment • Forgings • Alloy steels • Industrial energy components --- What We're Looking For Required • 5+ years of CNC machining or applied trades experience • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings • Strong understanding of GD&T • Experience with machine tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets • Proficiency using precision measuring equipment • High School Diploma or GED • Ability to obtain and maintain Siemens Energy equipment certifications • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to pass required medical evaluations and pre-employment screenings Preferred • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field • Technical school or apprenticeship training • CNC programming experience including G-Code and M-Code editing • Experience with large-part machining • Experience in power generation, energy, heavy industrial, or aerospace manufacturing --- Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Siemens Energy because: • Stable, long-term manufacturing environment • Challenging work on large, high-value components • Modern equipment and advanced manufacturing technologies • Strong commitment to employee development • Career advancement opportunities across a global organization • Relocation assistance available • Excellent benefits package • Team-oriented culture that values skilled tradespeople • Opportunity to support the future of energy generation --- Pay, Benefits & Schedule Sign-On Bonus $5,000 Sign-On Bonus • $2,000 after 3 months • $3,000 after 9 months (Employee must remain actively employed and in good standing at payout dates.)
