As an ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 Rev. D certified shop, Wagner supports customers across aerospace, heavy industrial, and custom manufacturing sectors. This role exists to support continued demand in their high-mix, job shop environment. Unlike production facilities, Wagner specializes in one-off prototypes and short-run machining where setup skill, blueprint interpretation, and independent problem-solving are essential. This is not a button-pushing position — it’s hands-on machining where craftsmanship matters. --- The Work You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will: • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes in a true job shop environment • Run one-off prototypes and short-run batches (typically 20–50 pieces) • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T • Perform tooling selection, offsets, and machine adjustments • Inspect your own work to ensure tight tolerance accuracy • Troubleshoot setups and machining challenges independently • Work across a variety of materials and part sizes Every day brings something different — new parts, new setups, new challenges. --- Machines, Equipment & Shop Environment Wagner Machine operates a modern CNC facility including: • CNC Horizontal Machining Centers (including palletized systems) • CNC 5-Axis Machining Capabilities • CNC Horizontal Boring Mills • CNC Vertical Turret Lathes • CNC Double Column (Bridge) Machines • Multi-Axis CNC Lathes • In-house crane capacity for large components Programming support utilizes Mastercam and AutoCAD systems within a structured, quality-driven environment. --- What We’re Looking For Required: • Strong job shop or custom machining experience • Proven ability to set up and run CNC mills and/or lathes • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T • Experience handling complete setups including tooling and offsets • Ability to work independently and inspect your own work • Reliable, detail-oriented, and proud of craftsmanship Preferred (Not Required): • Experience machining large components • Experience working in ISO or AS9100-certified environments • Experience with one-off or prototype work --- Why Machinists Like Working Here • True job shop — no production-line monotony • Diverse and challenging work • Modern equipment and tooling infrastructure • Family-owned company with over 65 years in business • Stable, long-term employment • Respect for skilled trades and experienced machinists If you enjoy variety, ownership, and real machining work, this is a shop where your skills are valued. --- Pay & Benefits Pay: $21.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience) Shift: Day Shift Overtime: As needed Benefits Include: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Health insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off Wagner Machine encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds.
