Job Title: CNC Setter Operator (Correa) Reports to: Production Manager Department: WEC Machining Hours of work: Mon to Fri (7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs and 7.30 – 12.30 Friday) Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour WEC Group Ltd, established for over 45 years and now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning engineering, fabrication and machining companies, requires an experienced and gifted CNC Setter/Operator for their purpose built facility at the Blackburn site. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and capable CNC Setter/Operator , who wishes to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering firm. Responsibilities • Working within a predominantly medium to high batch machining cell • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production. • Expertly set-up, and operate CNC machines using one or more of the specified control systems. • Choose and prepare the right tools and materials for each machining job. • Vigilantly monitor the CNC machines to guarantee consistent quality in production runs. • Conduct regular maintenance routines on machinery to ensure optimal performance. • Collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams, aiming for continuous process improvement. • Adhere to the highest safety standards and protocols. • Diagnose and resolve any challenges encountered during the production process. • Stay updated on advancements in machining techniques and control systems to uphold our industry-leading standards Knowledge, Skills, Experience • Experience with large machining (up to 10t weight and 6m length) • Strong Heidenhain experience • Highest standards of H&S and Quality is essential • Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts • Working with various materials including exotic grade alloys • A detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding & cutting strategy is essential • A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team Working Location/Environment Blackburn, Lancashire Company Benefits • 25 days holiday plus bank holiday • Free car parking • Profit Share Scheme • Company pension • Employee benefit loan scheme • Health & wellbeing cashback scheme • Refer a friend scheme • Company profit share scheme
