Description
The Geoprobe® CNC Machinist works with a team to produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while placing a high priority on maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Successful candidates will be team players, mechanical with strong hands-on skills, committed to high-quality work, comfortable working with blueprints, strong in math, and team oriented. Save time, apply directly at geoprobe.com/join-our-team Job Responsibilities Plans and executes machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, machining parameters and tolerances Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry Sets-up mills and lathes Loads material feeders by lifting stock into position Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards Maintains specifications, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes Maintains safe operations. adhering to safety procedures and regulations Maintains equipment, completing preventive maintenance requirements Documents actions, completing production and quality logs Accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests Training On the floor training Requirements High School education or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset Machining & CNC programming experience required; ability to read and write Gcode, CAM experience will be an asset Experience using precision measurement tools Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals Good at math with analytical abilities Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items Hands-on with strong mechanical abilities Possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail Strong communication skills -relates well to all kinds of people Learns quickly when facing new problems, open to change, quickly grasps issues to solve Perseveres especially in the face of resistance or setbacks Benefits 401(k) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Profit Sharing Geoprobe Systems® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
