Paid out at 1st paycheck, 6 months, and 1 year. Please note that current UVM Health employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus. MAIN FUNCTION: Primary function is to provide clinical nutrition services to residents of the nursing home and assisted living program, and patients in the hospital, cardiac rehab, cancer center, outpatients, and any/all other areas of the medical center as needed.  Under the supervision of the AVP of Support and Professional Services, the Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the day-to-day nutritional care of our residents and patients and providing clinical support to our foodservice employees.  The clinical dietitian will be expected to maintain knowledge and compliance with The Joint Commission, New York State Department of Health, CMS, and all other regulatory agencies as applicable.  The clinical dietitian acts as a liaison between the providers, nurses, and foodservice staff. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s or advanced degree from a college or university with a major in food, nutrition or dietetics. Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian or registration pending (Course requirements & internship completed; CDR exam pending). Certification with New York State Department of Education as Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist preferred.
