CAPSTAN Hauling,  a diversified, trucking company (acquired by LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies) is recruiting full-time   Truck Drivers with lowbed and winch truck operating experience  who are local to the  Lloydminster, Alberta area. LaPrairie Group of Companies (LAPRAIRIE) is a family-owned group of companies that provides full-service crane and rigging, heavy hauling, highway and bridge maintenance, civil construction, fleet maintenance and industrial mineral mining and distribution services to customers across Western Canada and Northeastern USA. The 100% Canadian family-owned group of companies' services customers through their various subsidiaries, including, LaPrairie Crane, Northland Fleet Services, Entrec Alberta, Capstan Hauling, LaPrairie Works, LaPrairie Works Oilfield Services, and Canadian Silica Industries. Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Operate a winch truck to winch load and unload equipment as required. • Haul customer commodities with various multi-axle trailer configurations, including lowbed trucks. • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete daily inspection reports. • Adhere to Hours of Service and Logbook Regulations. • Adhere to daily schedules set out by Dispatch & Supervisors. • Complete daily paperwork / reporting accurately and on time. • Promote safety culture and adhere to HSE policies. • Maintain a clean and organized truck. • Report all equipment repairs and maintenance requests to the Shop lead and Dispatch. Skills and Requirements: • Must hold a valid Class 1 Driver’s License. • 3-5 years on/off highway driving experience. • Must have equipment hauling experience. • Must have winch and lowbed truck operating experience. • Must have experience pulling 32-to-48-wheel Trailer configurations. • Availability to work rotational shifts, including days and nights. • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. • Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team setting and alone as required. • Ability to navigate work sites and adapt to daily changes in scopes of work. • Acceptable drivers abstract (5 years minimum).
