Legal & Insurance Claims Our client, a highly respected international marine insurance organisation, is seeking a Claims Executive to join their Singapore office. This is an excellent opportunity for a legally qualified professional or someone with a strong legal background to build a rewarding career within a globally recognised P&I Club. You will manage your own portfolio of claims, ensuring that each case is handled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with established best practices. Key Responsibilities • To manage proper handling of own claim files, including file husbandry in accordance with current claims procedures manual • Maintain accurate estimates and file records for all assigned cases. • Prepare detailed and professional reports, including agenda notes, notifications to reinsurers, and circulars. • Draft and issue written notifications for large or complex claims. • Participate actively in training and professional development activities. • To share knowledge, information and experience across the Claims team and department as a whole. • To assist the Claims Director – Singapore with or take the lead with ad-hoc Club projects. Experience & Qualifications • Qualified Law or at least has a law degree/LLM Experienced in marine claims handling from at least one of the following: P&I Club, Shipping Owner, law firm/private practice or another marine insurer. • Strong understanding of shipping law and its practical application to marine insurance and claims. • Familiarity with the International Group of P&I Clubs, its objectives, structure, and approach to claims handling. • Must be eligible to work in Singapore What’s on Offer • A supportive, inclusive culture focused on professional development. • Hybrid working arrangement (minimum two days per week in the office). • Discretionary bonus • 22 Days Holiday • Personal Benefits Allowance If this opportunity is of interest to you, please click ‘Apply Now’ or Register your CV with us.
