Civil & Structural CAD Technician Location: Kilkenny Full-Time | Permanent Hartley People Recruitment is seeking a detail-driven and technically proficient Technician / Revit Modeller to join a dynamic engineering consultancy based in Kilkenny. This is an ideal opportunity for a technician with 2+ years’ experience in engineering drawings for civil and/or structural projects, and who is eager to grow into a BIM-focused role. The role supports the delivery of high-quality models and documentation across a wide variety of infrastructure, residential, and public sector projects, with strong pathways for progression into senior or coordination roles. Duties and Responsibilities • Prepare and develop engineering drawings and models for structural and civil projects using AutoCAD and • Support the transition of technical drawings into a BIM-compliant environment in line with Level 2 objectives over the next two • Interpret and adapt mark-ups, redlines, and design changes with minimal • Maintain accurate file and drawing management, ensuring version control and compliance with drawing • Liaise with engineers and other project stakeholders to ensure drawing packages are aligned with design intent and project • Assist in the preparation of drawing sets for planning, tender, and construction • Contribute to internal upskilling efforts around BIM tools and workflow Requirements • Minimum 2 years’ experience preparing drawings in a civil or structural engineering • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit experience is a significant • Candidates without Revit but committed to learning it will be supported with • Interest in becoming BIM Level 2 proficient is • Ability to manage tasks independently, work to deadlines, and maintain a high standard of • Organised, self-motivated, and detail-focused. • A portfolio of previous project work (PDF or DWG) will be required at interview How to Apply For immediate consideration, please email your CV to [email protected] or call Nigel at 051 878813.
