Description
About This Opportunity
This isn’t just another engineering role—it’s your chance to shape the built environment of a vibrant college town while growing your career at a mid-sized firm that actually invests in its people. If you’re ready to trade the corporate shuffle for real ownership over site design projects, all while living in a city that bleeds red and black, keep reading.
Your Role: Senior Civil Engineer – Site Design & Project Leadership
You’ll be the technical backbone and creative force behind municipal, commercial, and industrial projects that matter. Whether you’re leading a team or diving deep into design yourself, your work will be visible, tangible, and lasting.
What You’ll Do
• Own the design and construction documentation process from concept through completion—site layout, utility design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility coordination, and erosion control.
• Wield AutoCAD Civil 3D like a pro to produce precise engineering and design documents.
• Step up as a go-to CAD resource for your design team, offering guidance and support when they hit a snag.
• If you’re ready, take on team leadership responsibilities—mentoring junior engineers, coordinating project workflows, and ensuring quality across the board.
What You Bring
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (non-negotiable).
• A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license—required, not optional.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in civil site design, with a strong portfolio of municipal, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Deep proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D—you don’t just use it, you make it sing.
• Clear, confident communication skills (written and verbal) because you’ll be collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Why This Firm?
• Mid-size, not lost. You won’t be a number. Here, your ideas get heard and your career path is drawn with you, not for you.
• Live in Athens. Root for the Dawgs on Saturday, then design the infrastructure that keeps this city thriving on Monday.
• Real growth. Whether you want to stay technical or move into project management, they’ll back your ambition.
Compensation & Perks
• $90,000 – $140,000 per year, based on experience and leadership scope.
• Full benefits package.
• Relocation assistance available—yes, they’ll help you get here.
