Children’s Support Worker | Residential Home Location: Bootle Salary: £13.00 – £14.00 per hour, plus £60 per sleep-in (depending on experience and qualifications) Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Shifts: 2 on, 4 off, including sleep-ins Shift Times: Long day shifts with sleep-ins as part of the rota Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have previous experience working within a Children’s Residential Home or a similar residential childcare setting as a Residential Support Worker. About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Residential Support Worker to join a Children’s Residential Home located in Ellesmere Port, supporting children and young people with a range of emotional and behavioural needs. This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Chester, Ellesmere Port, Neston, Frodsham, Helsby, Runcorn, Winsford, Northwich and surrounding areas. As an experienced Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective and person-centred care while supporting children and young people in their daily lives. You will help create a nurturing, stable and positive environment where young people feel valued, supported and able to achieve their goals. You will play a key role in promoting safeguarding, supporting care plans and building positive relationships with young people, families, colleagues and external professionals to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. Requirements: • A positive, caring and compassionate approach to delivering high-quality childcare • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team • A motivated, flexible and proactive approach to work • Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Children and Young People’s Workforce or Residential Childcare is desirable • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and promoting the welfare of children and young people • Previous experience working within a Children’s Residential Home or similar residential childcare setting • Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs • Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with young people • Ability to complete accurate records, daily logs and relevant documentation • Full UK driving licence • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship Benefits: • £13.00 – £14.00 per hour • £60 per sleep-in shift • Structured 2 on, 4 off rota • Full-time contract (40 hours per week) • Ongoing training and professional development • Career progression opportunities within children’s residential care • Supportive and experienced management team • Opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people How to Apply: If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you!
