Contract: Locum | Full-Time Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Children’s Services Team Manager to join a dedicated Children’s Social Care team in Leicester . This exciting locum Team Manager Social Worker opportunity offers a competitive rate of £45.00 per hour and the chance to provide strong leadership, guidance, and professional support to a team delivering high-quality services for children, young people, and families. This role is ideal for an experienced Social Work Team Manager or Senior Social Worker with a proven background in Children’s Services , Safeguarding , and statutory social work. You will lead and develop a team of social workers, ensuring effective case management, strong safeguarding practice, and positive outcomes for children and families. Key Responsibilities: • Provide effective leadership and management to a team of Children’s Social Workers. • Oversee complex caseloads and ensure high standards of social work practice are maintained. • Support social workers with case management, assessments, safeguarding decisions, and interventions. • Monitor performance, quality assurance, and compliance with statutory requirements. • Provide regular supervision, professional development, and guidance to team members. • Ensure effective delivery of services across areas including Child Protection , Children in Need , Children Looked After (CLA) , and safeguarding. • Work collaboratively with partner agencies including health, education, police, and legal services. • Promote strengths-based, child-centred practice across the team. • Review case progress and ensure timely decision-making and appropriate interventions. • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and support positive change within Children’s Services. Applicant Requirements: • Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification. • Registered with Social Work England. • Significant post-qualified experience within Children’s Social Care . • Previous experience as a Children’s Services Team Manager , Social Work Manager , Team Manager , or Senior Practitioner . • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and children’s social care frameworks. • Experience managing and supporting Social Workers within a statutory setting. • Excellent leadership, communication, supervision, and decision-making skills. • Ability to manage performance while maintaining high-quality social work standards. • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
