Description
Summary of Duties
Serves the Children’s Ministry team by effectively planning, organizing, communicating, and coordinating the day-to-day workflow.
Essential Functions
• Assist in the implementation of long-term strategic planning with a focus on the details
• Oversee ordering, and stocking of ministry supplies
• Oversee CTK Kids Check-in and check-in volunteers
• Perform monthly financial tracking and reporting
• Maintain expertise in all systems required to execute Children’s Ministries, including database management/updating, website updating, social media management, etc.
• Create promotional & curriculum support materials utilizing design software
• Administer the team calendar to maintain efficient timelines
• Manage the organization and cleanup of ministry preparation and storage areas/supplies
• Serve as the Children’s Ministry Team communication coordinator
• Manage weekly tasks: weekly numbers, new student emails, Postcards to students etc.
• Be available to work Sunday mornings, major holiday weekends, and Children’s Ministry events
• In conjunction with the Children’s Pastor, assist in purchasing/creation/modification of curriculum
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
• Display an obvious and growing love for Jesus and a desire to see lives and communities changed by the Holy Spirit
• Experience with handling sensitive issues and maintaining confidentiality and trust
• Gifted at administration and a proven track record of serving others
• Strong organizational skills, builder of strategies and systems, detail-oriented
• Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Proven success at multitasking, time management, and prioritizing
• Demonstrated strength in planning and organizing
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Knowledge of current trends in childhood development/programming with awareness of demographics of the families we serve in Whatcom County is preferred
• Experience with Mac, Google, and Microsoft applications
