About This Role The center flex support staff member typically works in all-aged classrooms, covering vacations and providing lead teachers with prep time and lunch breaks on a daily basis. What You'll Do Key Responsibilities: • Completes all legally-required reporting for the health and safety of the child, adhering to all licensing rules and center policies. • Maintains a safe and healthy environment for children, protecting their health, safety, dignity, and basic rights at all times. • Assists children in learning self-help skills and appropriate personal hygiene habits, promoting their growth and development. • Performs a variety of duties related to supervising and interacting with children to enhance their growth and development, and ensures their safety using approved behavior guidance and care giving techniques that support the overall program objectives. • Maintains time management, punctuality and attendance to ensure smooth daily operations. • Fulfills all responsibilities in accordance with the center's educational philosophy. • Has clear communication skills with parents and works to build a relationship with families to provide care that is inclusive of the family. • Works together with other staff members to create a positive, team-oriented environment in the center. Requirements Must be willing to take CPR High school diploma Nice to Have Abusive Head Trauma Training Child Abuse and Neglect Training Intro to the Childcare Profession class
