Join our team as a Chief of Staff and help virtualize biological experiments to accelerate discovery!
We are on a wild journey to rethink the very process of biological research, replacing experiments in cells, animals & patients with computer simulations on the world's first working AI virtual cell. We're building all of this out of our base in Hungary, with a wacky team of scientists & machine learning engineers across Hungary, Europe and the US.
We're looking for a Chief of Staff who shares this vision, is a sharp operator & can get comfortable in our complex & evolving world bridging technology & biology.
You will play a key role in shaping our scientific & business roadmap, optimizing internal operations, handling relations with our global investor base and enabling our Leadership & CEO to make strategic decisions, as well as move a complex, multi-disciplinary organization forward faster & smarter.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Coordination
• Collaborate with Leadership to align R&D & business strategy with company goals
• Translate business & scientific objectives into operational plans, milestones, and budgets
• Drive strategic planning cycles and the operational cadence of the exec team
• Own weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews and KPI tracking
• Monitor project timelines, risk, and resource allocation across teams, coordinate across departments (R&D, Finance, Product, Sales, etc.) for clear execution
• Conduct competitive landscape analyses and market intelligence reports, generate briefings on market shifts & competitor activity
Executive Partnership
• Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO across strategic priorities
• Lead and execute strategic initiatives that drive company growth, efficiency, and scalability, working hand-in-hand with scientific & business management
• Prepare and refine presentations, analyses, and reports for the Leadership team
Internal Operations
• Run executive staff meetings with structured agendas and tracked action items
• Manage the CEO's engagement in cross-functional meetings and key touchpoints, maximize focus by filtering and managing information flow
• Optimize CEO scheduling, pre-meeting materials, briefings, and internal comms
• Implement productivity tools and automation systems to improve efficiency
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that may occasionally require flexibility outside standard working hours to support leadership, investors, or global stakeholders across time zones
Investor & Board Relations
• Manage due diligence and materials for fundraising or strategic transactions
• Support and coordinate all investor and board-related interactions
• Prepare board decks, financial updates, and investor communications
• Coordinate with Legal and other departments on signatures, approvals, and logistics
• Lead investor working groups and board committees on key strategic initiatives
• Engage with analysts to position the company as a thought leader
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in biotech or techbio startups, venture capital, consulting, or strategy
• Experience working directly with C-level executives, investors, and boards
• Exceptional communication, project management, and organizational skills
• Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field (MBA, MPH, PhD a plus)
• Deep understanding of biotech R&D workflows, milestones, and commercialization paths is a plus
• Strong assertive communication skills and confident executive presence, with the ability to challenge ideas constructively and navigate complex stakeholder environments
• Systems-thinking and organizational development mindset; able to design and implement scalable processes and operational structures from scratch
