Talent Group is partnering with a growing transportation and logistics organization seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or high-level Controller ready to step into a broader financial leadership role.
This is a highly visible opportunity supporting multiple affiliated entities within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience within the trucking, transportation, logistics, or related service-based industries along with deep knowledge of banking relationships, cash flow management, insurance oversight, and operational finance leadership.

• A strong Controller ready to take the next step into a broader executive finance roleWhat You’ll Be DoingFinancial Leadership & Strategy
• Lead financial operations across multiple entities
• Partner directly with ownership on strategic business decisions
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Monitor profitability, operational performance, and cash flow strategy
• Support growth initiatives and operational expansion
Banking & Cash Flow Management
• Serve as primary contact for banking and lender relationships
• Oversee treasury functions, financing, and lines of credit
• Prepare financial reporting for banks and financial institutions
• Support long-term capital planning initiatives
Insurance & Risk Management
• Manage relationships with insurance brokers and carriers
• Oversee transportation-related insurance programs
• Review renewals, claims trends, and risk exposure
• Support cost-containment and operational risk reduction initiatives
Accounting & Operations Oversight
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, AP/AR, and payroll oversight
• Maintain internal controls and reporting accuracy
• Coordinate with external CPA firms and tax professionals
• Improve financial systems, reporting, and operational visibility
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership experience
• Prior Controller or CFO experience strongly preferred
• MUST have transportation, trucking, logistics, or related industry experience
• Experience with multi-entity financial operations strongly preferred
• Strong experience with:
• Banking relationships
• Cash flow strategy
• Insurance management
• Operational finance leadership
