Executive Leadership | Finance Salary: $180,000 or more depends on experience Location: Remote / Hybrid Reports to: Chief Executive Officer About Velocity Trade Partners Velocity Trade Partners (VTP) is a founder-led, rapidly growing portfolio of plumbing, drain, and home-services brands. VTP currently operates three brands with a strategic plan to scale beyond 15 brands across multiple states. We are built for scale, centralizing the functions that drive performance: finance, marketing, call center operations, data management, and operational leadership. We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to build world-class financial infrastructure and partner with leadership to scale the portfolio profitably toward an EBITDA margin of 20% or higher. Position Overview The Chief Financial Officer owns all financial operations across the VTP portfolio. The role spans daily reconciliations, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, accounts receivable and payable, deposit integrity, finance team development, and profitability initiatives across every brand. This is a builder's seat. The right leader is equally comfortable in detail, such as reconciling ServiceTitan deposits to bank accounts, and in the strategy, including building financial models, forecasting growth, and establishing a durable financial foundation for a portfolio scaling to 15 brands and beyond. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Controls • Reconcile daily ServiceTitan deposits to corresponding bank accounts to guarantee accurate revenue capture. • Oversee and strengthen AR/AP processes to maintain healthy cash flow and consistent collections across all brands. • Establish financial controls, audit procedures, and standardized accounting practices for consistency portfolio wide. • Deliver accurate, timely monthly closes in full compliance with applicable standards. Reporting & Performance Management • Produce weekly P&L flash reports and KPI dashboards for leadership review. • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including variance analysis and actionable insight for decision-making. • Standardize reporting at the brand level while maintaining full visibility at the portfolio level. Strategic Planning & Forecasting • Build and maintain rolling 12, 24, and 36-month forecasts for revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, and growth. • Own the annual budgeting process for each brand and for the portfolio. • Partner with operations, marketing, and call center leadership to align financial strategy with business objectives. • Identify margin-improvement opportunities and drive the portfolio toward its EBITDA target of 20% or higher. Scaling & Team Development • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, including AR/AP specialists, financial analysts, controllers, and brand-level finance partners as needed. • Develop the systems, processes, and standard operating procedures that enable scaling from 3 to 15-plus brands without sacrificing control or visibility. • Select and manage external financial partners, including banks, CPAs, tax advisors, and lenders. Leadership & Cross-Functional Impact • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on growth, acquisitions, integrations, pricing, and margin planning. • Lead financial onboarding for newly acquired brands and integrate them into the centralized system. • Guide portfolio-level decisions on investment strategy, headcount planning, and capital allocation. • Champion a data-driven financial culture across every team and brand. Qualifications • 7 to 15-plus years of progressive finance leadership experience; multi-location, multi-brand, or home-services backgrounds strongly preferred. • CPA or CFA required. • Comprehensive knowledge of revenue reconciliation, AR/AP, cash flow management, and operational accounting. • Prior CFO experience with the ability to work at the accounting level, lead the finance team, and deliver hands-on training and guidance. • Experience with ServiceTitan and QuickBooks Online. • Demonstrated ability to build and scale finance teams and infrastructure. • Strong forecasting, financial modeling, and budgeting skills. • Proven track record of driving margin improvement and EBITDA growth. • Comfortable operating in both early stage build mode and within structured growth environments. • Excellent communicator with a record of cross-functional work alongside operations, marketing, and call center teams.
