Description
Fastned is on a mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility. Since 2012, we have been building and operating a rapidly growing network of iconic fast-charging stations across Europe powered entirely by solar and wind energy. We now operate over 400 stations across nine countries, with an ambitious goal of reaching 1,000 stations by 2030. We are not building infrastructure for its own sake. Every station we open is a tangible step in the transition away from fossil fuels. We are a B-corp, listed company on Euronext Amsterdam, with a community of over 10,000 retail investors and a growing base of institutional funding partners. In 2025, we reported €122.4 million in charging revenue: a 47% year-on-year increase, exceeding €100 million in annual revenue for the first time. Fastned is at a pivotal point: growing fast, approaching profitability, and expanding across Europe. As our CFO, you will lead a talented and growing team of 40+ finance professionals to drive and shape Fastned's continued success. Your role We are looking for a CFO to join the Management Board, alongside our CEO and COO, who will drive Fastned on its path to profitability. After 6,5 years Fastned's previous CFO, Victor van Dijk, has transitioned into a new VP Strategy Role focusing on Fastned's long-term strategic vision. This transition creates the unique opportunity for a new CFO to join the mission and help shape the company’s next stage of growth. This role is for a financial leader who thrives in scale-up environments and feels comfortable navigating complexity. You know how to build a finance function that is both structured and able to move fast, maintaining strong financial discipline while enabling the continued investment needed to expand the network that supports our long-term vision. In this role, you will oversee the full Finance domain, including Business & Finance Control, Accounting & Reporting, Funding & Investor Relations, Treasury, Sustainability, Tax, and Risk & Audit, developing people and teams to the next phase. In addition, you will act as a key financial voice within the Executive Team and Management Board. Your responsibilities will include: Strategic Planning & Advisory: Partner with the Executive Board to set long-term financial goals, evaluate investment opportunities, oversee mergers and acquisitions and direct your teams to deliver the analyses and frameworks that underpin these decisions. Manage our capital structure by optimising the company's capital, debt, and equity structure to maximise shareholder value. Leading the Finance Domain: lead and inspire a talented Finance team of 43 professionals, bringing clear direction, fostering growth in culture that balances a bold mission with financial rigour. You will empower domain leads to do their best work, for each of your domains this entails the following: Accounting & Reporting team : accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory standards and accounting frameworks. Funding & Investor Relations team: develop a compelling, forward-looking equity story that reflects both current performance and long-term potential. You will serve as the primary spokesperson for Fastned's financial health, leading earnings calls and maintaining strong relationships with analysts, shareholders, and investors. Business & Financial Control team: partner with Country- and Functional Directors to evaluate the business cases for new markets, charging stations, joint ventures, and other expansion initiatives, ensuring rigorous financial discipline and cost efficiency underpin every growth decision. Risk & Audit team: build structures that protect against financial fraud and operational risk.
