Description
The Role & Mandate The CCO owns Babyshop’s full commercial P&L and leads all growth-driving functions — pricing, campaigns, marketing, CRM, and e-commerce — in one integrated, high-performing engine. This is a builder’s role: hands-on, analytical, and entrepreneurial. The CCO turns ambition into disciplined execution and acts as the commercial “glue” of the organization — bridging strategy with operations, insight with creativity, and team energy with financial precision. The mandate: • Deliver profitable, sustainable growth across all markets and brands. • Shape and execute Babyshop’s commercial roadmap, balancing short-term trading results with long-term brand equity. • Build a high-ownership culture grounded in pace, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Define and execute commercial strategy in line with growth, profitability, and brand goals. Translate ambition into clear focus, measurable targets, and a weekly operating rhythm. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual and rolling commercial budget and forecast process with Finance, Buying, and Operations. Ensure disciplined reforecasting and proactive adjustment to market dynamics. Revenue Growth & Campaign Strategy: Drive full trading rhythm — campaigns, pricing, promotions — ensuring profitability, sell-through, and margin discipline. Align commercial plans with stock, liquidity, and brand priorities. Marketing & Brand: Oversee all paid, owned, and earned channels; balance performance marketing, CRM, and brand storytelling to maximize both efficiency and desire. Ensure consistent tone, messaging, and visual identity. E-commerce Experience: Own the digital customer journey end-to-end. Optimize conversion, UX, search, and navigation while integrating new tools that drive data-led improvement. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Buying, Finance, IT, and Operations to align forecasts, systems, and execution cadence. People & Culture: Build a high-trust, high-accountability commercial team. Coach for ownership, urgency, and collaboration. Model curiosity, precision, and entrepreneurial spirit. Profile fit We’re looking for a rare hybrid: part strategist, part operator, part brand-builder. Someone who can go from discussing pricing elasticity & Google Shopping in the morning to brand storytelling or UX in the afternoon — and thrive in both. Experience & Skills • 7+ years of commercial leadership, ideally in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods • Has owned or deeply responsible for a commercial P&L (sales, margin, marketing efficiency).Proven ability to drive profitable growth through pricing, campaign management & full-funnel marketing. • Hands-on familiarity with performance marketing levers (Google Ads, Meta, affiliates), CRM & retention, & on-site UX/merchandising. • Track record in fast-moving, competitive, multi-brand environments where data-driven decisions & sharp execution make the difference • Strong analytical & financial skills; comfortable in discussions on elasticity, cohort LTV, or GM1/GM3 trade-offs. • Natural leader & communicator; inspires trust, challenges agencies and partners with competence and authority. • Fluent in English and Swedish/Norwegian; Other European languages or Korean a plus Ideal Background • Senior commercial or marketing leader in a strong e-commerce or retail brand • Entrepreneur or scale-up operator who has built and run commercial engines hands-on • Former top-tier management consultant who has transitioned into an operational role for 1-3 years and seeks an entrepreneurial mandate Mindset • Hands-on strategist: Thinks like a CEO, acts like an owner. Understands the details because they drive the outcome • Builder: Motivated by transformation — wants to leave behind systems, culture, and growth that endure • Commercial athlete: Moves comfortably between creative & analytical, big picture & detail, long-term & tactical • Curious, fast learner: Absorbs new systems, markets, and customer behaviors rapidly • Cultural amplifier: Raises performance standards while keeping the organization inspired & aligned Who We Are Babyshop Group is one of Europe’s leading premium e-commerce destinations for families. With strong own brands (Kuling, Stoy) and global sales footprint, we’re on a mission to make premium kids’ fashion and lifestyle accessible worldwide. Following a successful turnaround, we’re entering a new growth phase — profitable, data-driven, and brand-elevating — and we’re now looking for a visionary yet hands-on Chief Commercial Officer to lead the charge to build the most loved – and most commercially effective kids’ retail destination online - balancing strong brand desirability with disciplined, data-driven performance. What We Offer A defining leadership role — the chance to shape the future and legacy of one of the Nordics’ most recognized e-commerce brands as we move from turnaround to profitable growth and global scale. True commercial ownership — full P&L responsibility and a seat at the management table, driving decisions that impact the entire business. A unique blend of brand and analytics — lead a company where creativity meets data; where performance marketing, storytelling, and pricing science work hand in hand. High autonomy and speed — an entrepreneurial environment that rewards initiative, accountability, and intelligent risk-taking. A growth platform — work with a talented, international team and world-class brands, building systems and culture that will scale far beyond today’s 300 MSEK revenue. Competitive compensation — including performance-based incentives and long-term value creation opportunities (LTI/equity). Ad has been closed and it is no longer possible to apply.
