COTA — SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Miller Vein is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant ( COTA ) to join our growing Swelling & Lymphedema Program in Southeast Michigan.
You do not need to be a Certified Lymphedema Therapist to apply. We will pay for your CLT certification training. If you're a licensed COTA who is excited to build a specialized skill set in lymphedema care, we'll invest in you and provide the training at no cost to you.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside Certified Lymphedema Therapists, physicians, and clinical staff in a physician-owned practice dedicated to improving the lives of patients suffering from lymphedema, lipedema, venous disease, chronic swelling, and related conditions. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for a team-oriented clinician who builds strong patient relationships, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is excited to help expand access to care throughout Southeast Michigan.
OUR INVESTMENT IN YOU
Fully paid CLT certification training: We cover the cost of your Certified Lymphedema Therapist training through an accredited program
Learn from experienced clinicians: Train alongside our Certified Lymphedema Therapist and physicians in a supportive, hands-on environment
Sharpen your skills on the job: Apply what you learn immediately with real patients, real mentorship, and real outcomes
Grow with a growing program: Build an in-demand clinical specialty as our Swelling & Lymphedema Program expands
RESPONSIBILITIES
Following completion of your CLT certification training, you will:
Perform Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and apply multi-layer compression bandaging as part of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) under the direction of the supervising OT/CLT
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT/CLT for patients with lymphedema, lipedema, and related swelling conditions
Provide patient education on lymphedema management, swelling reduction, compression therapy, skin care, and long-term self-management strategies
Assist patients with compression garment fitting, donning/doffing instruction, and ongoing education
Support pneumatic compression device training and patient instruction
Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising OT/CLT and physicians
Document treatments and patient progress accurately and efficiently in the EMR
Assist with patient follow-up and ongoing care coordination
