Job Description The Certified Medical Assistant functions in a role accountable for providing comprehensive, family-centered care to patients and families in the pediatric orthopedic Outpatient Department. Shriners Spokane is looking for a part-time Certified Medical Assistant to join the team. Key Responsibilities: Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and depart processes. Demonstrates skills necessary to assist with casting, splinting, and dressing application, removal and cleaning. Safely removes casts, cleans patient, covers affected limb and instructs family on skin care. Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Responsible for prepping clinic to be prepared for that day's clinic to include monitoring supplies and equipment and ordering supplies Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Certified Medical Assistant Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree, Medical Assistant RMA, CCMA, NCMA 1 year Pediatric/Ambulatory Care experience EMR Systems The pay range for this position is $22.00-$31.68/hourly Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
