Job Description The Certified Medical Assistant functions in a role accountable for providing comprehensive, family-centered care to patients and families in the pediatric orthopedic Outpatient Department.  Shriners Spokane is looking for a part-time Certified Medical Assistant to join the team. Key Responsibilities: • Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and depart processes. • Demonstrates skills necessary to assist with casting, splinting, and dressing application, removal and cleaning. • Safely removes casts, cleans patient, covers affected limb and instructs family on skin care. • Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) • Responsible for prepping clinic to be prepared for that day's clinic to include monitoring supplies and equipment and ordering supplies • Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED • Certified Medical Assistant • Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Qualifications: • Associate Degree, Medical Assistant • RMA, CCMA, NCMA • 1 year Pediatric/Ambulatory Care experience • EMR Systems The pay range for this position is $22.00-$31.68/hourly 
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
