The Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) is responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management of injuries and illnesses affecting varsity student-athletes. Working within an integrated high-performance sport environment, the Athletic Therapist collaborates with coaches, physicians, strength and conditioning staff, mental performance professionals, and student athletic therapists to support athlete health, safety, and performance. This role also includes the supervision, mentorship, scheduling, and development of student Athletic Therapists (student ATs) participating in clinical placements and varsity sport support roles.
