POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the organization, the Production Cell Leader is responsible for leading a complex manufacturing cell to achieve production, quality, and safety targets through the efficient use of resources, adherence to documented processes, and commitment to continuous improvement. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Ensure a safe work environment by conducting regular safety walks, enforcing all safety policies, completing hazard and spill reports, and confirming all employees are trained in safe work procedures. Support all quality initiatives by ensuring tools, materials, and training are in place to achieve first-time quality and reduce rework. Coordinate production resources by managing staffing levels, cross-training employees, and scheduling overtime as required to maintain production continuity. Lead daily team meetings to review performance metrics, communicate priorities, assign corrective actions, and ensure engagement from supporting departments such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Materials Management. Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives by conducting workplace organization activities, participating in process audits, and coordinating improvement projects to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Support technical processes including the completion of engineering changes, pre-production planning, and coordination with other cells and departments to ensure seamless workflow. Provide daily performance reports that include production status, downtime and unexpected delays, recovery plans, bus movement status, and any required overtime to meet production goals. Manage personnel by conducting stand-up meetings, responding to employee concerns, maintaining time and attendance records, conducting performance reviews, administering discipline when necessary, and supporting employee development and training. Collaborate with Human Resources to address personnel matters, support recruitment activities, and ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements where applicable. Ensure all employees maintain required training and certifications and support skill development to sustain operational readiness.
