Job Description: CCTV/Security Technician Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV/Security Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CCTV and security systems in both commercial and residential environments. This role involves working closely with clients, ensuring systems are installed and operational to meet security needs. Key Responsibilities: Installation: Install CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and related hardware at client sites. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with CCTV, alarm, and security systems. Configuration: Set up and configure network-based security systems, including IP cameras and remote monitoring solutions. Customer Interaction: Provide training and support to clients on system operations and basic troubleshooting. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs for reporting purposes. Compliance: Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, company policies, and local regulations. Qualifications: Experience: 2+ years of experience in CCTV/security system installation and maintenance. Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with analog and IP-based security systems, access control systems, and alarm systems. Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with basic networking principles, including IP addressing and router configuration. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CTS, or manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus. Tools: Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively and safely. Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and navigate confined spaces when necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in commercial, government, or high-security environments. Knowledge of intrusion detection systems and intercom systems. Previous experience with software for monitoring and configuring security systems. Key Competencies: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
