Catering Assistant - With DBS Goldstar Recruitment are looking for DBS Catering Assistants for temporary, on-going assignments in schools across Oxfordshire. • Monday to Friday • 10am-2pm • Weekly pay • £12.21-£13ph This role is offered on a temporary part time basis, Monday to Friday, during term time and is subject to the applicant's eligibility to work in the UK and a successful DBS clearance. Main Responsibilities as a catering assistant : • Ensure the smooth delivery of catering services to the school. • General catering duties following the method prescribed in the Kitchen Manual. • Basic preparation of food and beverages (for example, vegetables and snacks). • Setting up and clearing away tables, chairs and equipment. • Cleaning of the dining area, kitchen surfaces, cupboards, tables and equipment. • Washing dishes, cutlery, containers, etc. The ideal candidate will have : • Previous catering experience in a similar environment would be preferred. • An awareness of health, safety and security in the kitchen is preferred, but not essential. • Ability to communicate well with young children. • Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative. • Ability to adapt to change and take on different tasks as and when required. • A DBS check will be required (cost covered by candidate).
