CASE SUPPORT OFFICER (FIXED-TERM CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS) LOCATION: Scotland - Hybrid with occasional travel Compass Associates are partnering with a respected Elderly Care Home provider to recruit a Case Support Officer on a six-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional or Employee Relations specialist who enjoys conducting workplace investigations and supporting managers through complex employee relations matters. Working within a regulated adult social care environment, you will play a key role in ensuring investigations are conducted fairly, professionally and in line with employment legislation and organisational policy. This role is ideally suited to someone with strong report-writing skills, excellent judgement and previous experience handling sensitive employee relations cases. THE ROLE As Case Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting managers across a diverse portfolio of adult social care services by leading and coordinating workplace investigations. Your responsibilities will include: • Conducting impartial investigations into employee conduct, capability and workplace concerns • Planning investigations, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses • Producing clear, balanced and evidence-based investigation reports • Presenting findings to managers to support informed decision making • Advising managers throughout disciplinary, grievance and safeguarding-related processes • Ensuring investigations are completed in line with employment legislation, organisational policy and best practice • Maintaining accurate, confidential records in accordance with GDPR requirements • Working collaboratively with operational managers, HR colleagues and senior stakeholders • Supporting consistency and continuous improvement across employee relations processes This is a hybrid role with travel across Scotland and occasional travel to England as required. ABOUT YOU This opportunity will suit an experienced HR or Employee Relations professional who brings: • Previous experience conducting workplace investigations from start to finish • Strong experience interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence • Excellent report writing and analytical skills • Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance or safeguarding-related employment matters • Exposure to adult social care, healthcare or another regulated environment • The ability to remain objective, impartial and highly organised when managing sensitive cases • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards), or equivalent experience, would be advantageous You will be a credible, resilient and professional individual who can build confidence with managers whilst maintaining complete confidentiality and fairness throughout every investigation. SALARY, LOCATION & WORKING ARRANGEMENTS • £35,000 salary + £3,000 car allowance • Hybrid working arrangement • Home-based with travel across Scotland • Fixed-term contract for six months CANDIDATE SUITABILITY NOTE Applications are welcomed from candidates with previous experience managing formal workplace investigations.
