Employer: Cavan Flooring and Timber Importers Ltd Location: Knockateery, Cloverhill, Cavan, H14 HW84 Number of Positions: 2 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week Salary: €36,605 gross per annum Job Description: Cavan Flooring and Timber Importers Ltd is seeking two experienced Carpenters to join our team in Co. Cavan. The successful candidates will carry out skilled carpentry and joinery work involving the preparation, cutting, shaping, assembly, fitting and installation of timber and timber-based products. Main duties will include: - Measure, mark, cut, shape and prepare timber and timber-based materials to required specifications. - Construct, assemble and fit timber components, frameworks and structures. - Install doors, door frames, architraves, skirting boards and other timber fixtures and fittings. - Carry out fitting and installation of timber flooring and associated carpentry works. - Read and work from drawings, measurements and job specifications. - Use hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery safely and accurately. - Carry out repairs, alterations and finishing work to existing timber structures and fittings. - Ensure completed work meets required measurements, specifications and quality standards. - Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. - Comply with all company health and safety procedures and site requirements. Requirements: Applicants should have previous professional experience as a Carpenter/Joiner or in a closely related skilled carpentry role. Candidates must be competent in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and installing timber components and be confident using carpentry hand tools, power tools and woodworking equipment. Good attention to detail, the ability to work from measurements and specifications, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
