Full Job Description We are a busy custom home builder serving the Boyne City, Charlevoix, and East Jordan area, seeking skilled and reliable carpenters to join our team. Our projects range from high-end new home construction to detailed remodels, and we value craftsmanship, professionalism, and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in both framing and finishing, with the ability to assist across all phases of construction. Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans • Frame walls, floors, roofs, and structural components • Perform interior and exterior carpentry, including trim and finish work • Install siding and exterior trim using materials such as vinyl, metal, fiber cement, PVC, and wood • Maintain clean, safe, well-organized job sites • Work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces • Collaborate with team members and assist where needed to keep projects moving efficiently • Ensure work meets high quality and craftsmanship standards Requirements • Proven carpentry experience (framing, finishing, or both) • Strong understanding of residential construction practices • Comfortable working at heights and performing physical labor • Ability to accurately measure, level, and plumb • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude • Valid driver’s license required Job Type: Full-time Pay: Based on experience Benefits may include: Health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays If you’re committed to quality work and want to grow with a reputable home builder in northern Michigan, we’d love to talk with you.
