Tipperary Salary: €38,000 – €52,000 (DOE) Hours: Full-time Contract: Fixed-term with potential for permanency A Role Built Around Consistent, Everyday Support This Care Support Worker role in Nenagh is based within a service supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in a structured, community-connected environment. The role focuses on providing reliable, day-to-day support that helps individuals build confidence, maintain routines, and develop greater independence over time. You’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, person-centred care that supports both wellbeing and development. What You’ll Be Doing • Supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily routines • Encouraging independence through consistent, practical support • Assisting with community activities and engagement • Building positive, trusting relationships • Promoting dignity, choice, and person-centred care • Working alongside Social Care Workers and wider teams • Following care plans and HIQA-aligned standards What You’ll Bring • Relevant qualification (Social Care, Healthcare, or related discipline preferred) • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or in similar settings • A consistent, reliable, and people-focused approach • Understanding of safeguarding and professional practice • Manual Handling & First Aid (or willingness to complete training) What’s on Offer • Opportunity to progress into long-term or permanent roles • A structured and supportive team environment • Ongoing training and development • A role with clear purpose and day-to-day impact • A service focused on quality, consistency, and best practice
