We’re recruiting Care Assistants across several areas in North Tyneside , with a mix of full-time and part-time roles available. As a Care Assistant, you’ll support people to live independently at home with dignity, choice and compassion . We’re currently seeking Care Assistants to support people living in Whitley Bay (NE26) , Marden, Cullercoats (NE30), Monksheaton (NE25), Shiremoor (NE27), North Shields (NE29) and Wallsend (NE28) Our next paid induction training starts on 5th January , and you could earn up to £300 as a New Starter Bonus (terms apply). No sponsorships available Pay, Hours & Bonuses We offer block pay (not pay per call) - you’re paid from the start of your first visit to the end of your last visit within a shift. • £13.30 per hour (drivers) • £12.75 per hour (walkers) • Mileage: 50p per mile (drivers) / 20p per mile (cyclists) • Full-time & part-time hours available (role dependent) About the Role You don’t need previous care experience - if you’ve cared for family, friends, or simply have the right values, we’ll give you all the training and support you need. As a Care Assistant with Be Caring, you will: • Support people to meet their personal outcomes • Promote independence using enabling approaches • Deliver personalised care based on choice and control • Provide personal care that protects dignity • Communicate effectively with families, professionals, and colleagues • Record and share information accurately and on time • Help people stay connected to their communities Working Patterns All roles follow agreed shift patterns: • Early shift: 7:00am – 2:00pm • Late shift: 4:00pm – 10:00pm You’ll work on a 2-week rota , including: • Alternate weekends or • Every Saturday or every Sunday • Evenings agreed within your contracted hours Induction & Training Your training will include: • Be Caring values & going Above & Beyond • Safeguarding, dignity, equality & diversity • Confidentiality & professional boundaries • Fluids, nutrition & medication support • Moving & positioning, basic life support & pressure care • Infection prevention, health & safety • Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health & capacity Ready to Join Be Caring?
