The role of Capstan Setter Operator is available in Wolverhampton (WV2) with Recruitment Helpline Ltd. This full-time, permanent position involves setting and operating manual capstan machines (2D, 3D, 4D) to produce high-quality special fasteners. The working pattern is Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am to 4:45pm. Candidates need proven experience with manual capstans and competence using measuring equipment like micrometres, calliper gauges, and verniers. Skills with Coventry Die heads and rollers are also required. The salary is competitive and negotiable, dependent on experience. About The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EXPERIENCED CAPSTAN SETTER OPERATOR to join one of the UKs award winning leading manufacturers of High-Quality Special Fasteners. They are looking for someone with proven previous experience setting, and operating MANUAL CAPSTAN machines (for example 2D’s, 3D’s 4D’s) Key Responsibilities: • Be able to use measuring equipment such as micrometres, calliper gauges, verniers etc. • Competent in using Coventry Die heads, roller boxes and fette heads • Experience setting and operating Capstan machines. • Machine a wide range of components to tight tolerances ensuring all products meet our high-quality standards. • Select machine tools to produce components to drawings and specifications. • Must be able to demonstrate a good level of understanding technical engineering drawings for turned or threaded parts • Setting up new jobs on the machine • Maintaining a level of self-inspection throughout a batch. • Working within a team on the section and can use own initiative. • It is essential that the right candidate is happy to work on different machines depending on where they are required.
