Summary of Responsibility: Morris Group, a leading distributor of high-end CNC machine tools and manufacturing solutions, is seeking a driven Capital Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a competitive, self-motivated professional who thrives on winning new business while also developing long-term customer relationships. You will represent premium CNC equipment and deliver value-driven solutions to manufacturers across a wide range of industries. Identify, pursue, and close new capital equipment opportunities within assigned territory Develop and grow relationships with existing customers (“farmer” mentality) while aggressively targeting new business (“hunter” mentality) Evaluate customer applications and recommend optimal CNC machining solutions Collaborate with internal Applications Engineering team for: Time studies Turnkey project development Process validation and machine selection Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and closing Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM activity Network and Stay current on industry trends, machining technologies, and competitive offerings Other Functions: Perform related duties as required.
