Job Description: CROWN Bevcan Slovakia s.r.o. is seeking a skilled Cans Back End Necker Mechanic to maintain and optimize the performance of necking machinery in our can manufacturing facility. Job Responsibilities: • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on can necking machines and associated back-end equipment. • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues affecting necker performance. • Execute machine changeovers and adjustments to meet production specifications and quality standards. • Monitor machine operation for efficiency, product quality, and safety. • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to identify and implement process improvements. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and machine performance. • Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures. • Train and mentor junior mechanics as required. • Order and manage spare parts inventory for necking equipment. Job Qualifications: • Proven experience as a mechanic in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably within the can making industry. • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills for complex machinery. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. • Knowledge of pneumatic and basic electrical systems. • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as production demands require. • Vocational degree or certification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field is highly preferred. • Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and diagnostic tools.
