Description St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking Cafeteria Worker who will assist with food distribution. In this role, the worker is responsible for ensuring that meals are portioned, distributed, and served safely and efficiently to students and staff. Requirements Food Preparation & Distribution • Portioning & Serving: Accurately measure and portion food items according to standardized recipes and nutritional guidelines. • Line Setup: Set up and arrange the cafeteria service lines, steam tables, and salad bars with necessary hot and cold food items, condiments, and utensils. • Meal Assembly: Assemble individual meals, trays and area for grab and go items. • Restocking: Continuously replenish food items, trays, and napkins on the serving lines during peak meal periods. • Temperature Control: Monitor and record the temperature of hot and cold food items to comply with food safety standards Sanitation • Dishwashing: Scrape, wash, and sanitize trays, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils (either manually or using commercial dishwashers). • Cleaning: Clean and sanitize work surfaces, serving counters, and dining tables between serving periods. Cashiering (As Assigned) • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems or cash registers to process transactions. • Record meals from prepaid orders Qualifications & Skills • Education: High School Diploma • Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, and frequently lift/carry heavy objects (typically 25 lbs). • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact positively and patiently with children and staff • Basic Math: Basic arithmetic skills to manage cash, follow recipe ratios, and measure portions accurately • Certification: Meet diocesan and health department requirements. Pay Range $16.00-18.00/hour based on experience Summary of Benefits
