Café Assistant- Holt Garden Centre Looking for a flexible role in a lively and customer-focused environment? We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team at the Garden Terrace Café at Holt Garden Centre. Position: Café Assistant Location: Holt Garden Centre – Garden Terrace Café (part of the Blue Diamond Group) Hours: 35 hours per week, with a range of shifts and working patterns available (including weekdays and weekends) Salary: Depending on experience Why Join Us? The Role As a Café Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards throughout the café. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every customer. Duties Will Include (but are not limited to): • Greeting and welcoming customers • Taking orders and processing payments accurately • Preparing hot and cold drinks, including barista-style beverages • Serving food and drinks efficiently • Clearing and cleaning tables • Supporting colleagues during busy service periods • Assisting with food preparation as required • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout the café • Helping to ensure the café is presented to a high standard at all times About You We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine passion for customer service. Essential Skills and Qualities • A friendly and approachable manner • Passion for delivering excellent customer service • Pride in maintaining high standards of work • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Positive attitude and willingness to learn • Flexible and available to work weekdays and weekends Previous café, hospitality, or customer service experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
