Description
Cable Jointing Trainer Manchester | Permanent | £50,000 Start Date: ASAP Ready to come off the tools and shape the next generation of the industry? We’re working with a leading global training provider that delivers safety, technical, and skills training across the electricity sector. They’re known for hiring instructors who’ve genuinely lived the job — and now they’re looking for an experienced Cable Jointer ready for a new challenge. This is a rare chance to step away from hands-on jointing work without leaving the industry behind. You’ll bring your real-world expertise, and in return you’ll be fully trained and supported to become an exceptional Trainer and Assessor. What You'll Be Doing • Designing and delivering high-quality training across LV and 11kV cable jointing • Supporting delivery of the Technical Certificate in Power Engineering • Assessing learners against NVQ, Diploma, and End Point Assessment standards • Creating engaging training materials and course content • Delivering compliance and safety training tied to distribution work • Guiding and supporting learners throughout their qualification journey • You’ll be based primarily in Manchester, with occasional travel (including overnight stays) to other sites. What We're Looking For • A background in electricity distribution, transmission, or cable jointing • At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in cable jointing • A Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject • LV Jointing authorisation (current or previously held) • Strong practical and technical know-how • A full UK driving licence • Great communication skills and a genuine passion for passing on your knowledge If you’re an industry expert looking to trade the tools for a training career, we’d love to hear from you.
