Responsibilities We are currently looking for buyer to support our Ennis, Ireland location. The selected candidate is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, tooling, and service required to support aerospace manufacturing operations. This role ensures the timely delivery of quality products while maintaining cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities include: ' Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. ' Negotiate and manage long-term pricing agreements on critical commodities. ' Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions. Liaise with Production team to support operation with requirements ' Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required. ' Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions ' Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance. ' Maintain services and office equipment by conferring with suppliers; monitoring and recording service agreements to ensure terms are met. ' Create and develop demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends and data. Assess and analyze Qualifications ' Bachelor's degree in business management, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience. ' Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials and Supply Chain. ' Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. ' Strong systems knowledge and proficiency. M1 experience preferred plus working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems. ' Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data. Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment. ' Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media, tactful, confident, at all levels, internal and external.
