Job Summary : This position is responsible for independently negotiating and maintaining best pricing for new items and for recurring items within designated contracts. This position will provide technical review of parts and drawings and maintain database for on-going technical data updates from customer. In addition, this position will maintain a sufficient supplier base per item to meet contact specifications. Key Deliverables and Responsibilities: Cultivates relationships with tiered suppliers for the contract. Maintains effective annual cost and lead time for contract. Maintains at least three suppliers where possible based on contract quality requirements in EnterpriseOne system. Establishes tiered supplier data base per item Current NSN pricing entered by price expiration dates. Manage through the Gateway system and EnterpriseOne Management tools as well as other NSN supplier data based tools. Number of NSNs in Supplier Address book with proper information for tier availability. Manages and troubleshoots FAT testing and other quality test procedures with the suppliers for NSN-based contracts. Manages technical data pertaining to NSNs listed in contract. Provides assistance to Buyer/Expeditor and suppliers regarding drawing and POT data requirements. Maintains day-to-day stock needs according to the customer contract. Works alongside Client Support Representatives (CSR’s) on commercial CONUS & OCNOUS RFQ’s for the TWV department. Oversees team resolution of contract non-conformance issues. Works with the team to address non-conformances to resolution and notifies appropriate CSR of any quality issues so appropriate action and resolution can be implemented. Initiates and maintains blanket purchase order agreements for contract with suppliers based on negotiated results from supplier quotes. Coordinates with suppliers to confirm NSN pricing and lead time on a weekly basis and maintains each in EnterpriseOne database. Assists with special pricing projects such as market baskets for Business Development proposals. Creates and maintains work instructions and process maps for the Buyer Analyst role. Travel No travel requirements for this position exist Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a business or purchasing related field. Five (5) years of purchasing experience. Emphasis in automotive purchasing preferred. Five (5) years’ experience working within an automated procurement system Two (2) years’ experience working with government contracts preferred Desired Skills Proven cost savings record when negotiating Proven ability to meet deadlines Strong attention to detail Proven ability to work diligently to accomplish goals and meet a target. Proven ability to read and interpret technical data and drawings. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal PC proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Proficiency using JDEdwards EnterpriseOne Software highly preferred.
