Role Overview Design, document, and validate practical business operations and compliance controls for a short-term research engagement with a frontier AI lab, turning regulatory requirements and internal policies into clear checklists, approval steps, training materials, and recurring controls. Key Responsibilities • Create, review, and evaluate high-quality business operations and compliance scenarios that can be used as training data for AI systems. • Translate regulations and internal policy into practical checklists, approval steps, worked examples, and recurring control procedures. • Design and deliver compliance training and supporting materials. • Document recurring controls, control evidence, and control owners. • Define RACI, data checks, and approval workflows tied to operational tasks. • Draft monthly operating review calendars, agendas, and templates. • Facilitate sessions, assign action owners, and track follow-ups to closure. • Clarify requirements in plain language, surface ambiguity, and escalate legal questions when needed, while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy. Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business operations, internal controls, advertising or marketing operations, risk, or compliance program management. • Proven ability to convert regulatory or policy requirements into checklists, approval flows, examples, training, and recurring controls. • Experience defining RACI models, approval workflows, and data checks. • Experience designing and delivering compliance training, and documenting operating cadence such as monthly reviews. • Strong attention to detail, clear plain-language communication, and sound judgment about when to escalate legal issues. • Experience at one or more of the following types of businesses: media or publishing, advertising agencies, live events, consumer subscription businesses, regulated marketing or finance operations, or other organizations with substantial commercial compliance functions. Work Terms • Engagement type, hourly. • Full-time commitment for the project period, from 10 August 2026 to 4 September 2026. • Remote work, team operates on a UK business-hours rhythm, with live team sessions each working day and occasional evening messages. • The project includes two weeks of paid garden leave at the end of the engagement, with a one month non-compete running concurrently. • Strong performers increase likelihood of selection for future projects. Compensation Hourly rate: 150 - 150 hourly. Eligibility • Candidates must be based in the United Kingdom and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
