As a Pāmu Business Manager,   you’ll   lead   seven   farms   in   the beautiful   Northland   region . Together, these farms   collectively   run between   100,000 to 120,000   stock units, forming an important part of   Pāmu’s   livestock business. You’ll   be part of a close-knit, high-trust leadership team that collaborates to share insights, solve challenges, and deliver meaningful results across the region.   This is a supportive team that shares knowledge, backs each other, and is focused on lifting performance in a practical and sustainable way. Your core focus will be partnering with your Farm Managers   -   supporting, guiding, and   working alongside   them to   lift performance, build confidence, and   achieve   strong outcomes   in both on - farm performance and financial results.   You’ll   review fa rm   performance   together with your teams ,   identify   opportunities to   strengthen   profitability, improve systems, and enhance environmental outcomes, while ensuring   Pāmu’s   strategy and values are brought to life in day-to-day operations. You’ll   spend time out on-farm, working closely with   farm   managers and their teams to develop capability, drive operational consistency, and celebrate success.   You’ll   also influence strategic decisions, from capital investment to long-term system design. With flexibility to manage your own calendar and a manager who leads with trust and transparency,   you’ll   have the freedom and support to make a real impact. You know what   it’s   like to run a farm, so you bring empathy, practical   know-how , and a genuine desire to help your Farm Managers and their teams succeed .     You’re   the kind of leader who builds confidence in others and takes pride in shared success. You enjoy getting out on-farm, seeing the results of good management firsthand, and having   clear, constructive   conversations that lift performance and build confidence. You think strategically but act pragmatically, translating goals into actions that improve profitability, efficiency, and environmental outcomes. Some of the experience that would help you succeed includes: • C oaching and mentoring skills   -   you enjoy developing others and seeing them grow. • Proven leadership experience across livestock or pastoral farming operations. • A track record   of driving farm performance through financial and operational management. • Commercial acumen and confidence working with budgets, forecasts, and cashflows. • The   ability   to have   clear, constructive   conversations that build   trust, confidence, and shared   accountability. • A growth mindset   -   comfortable with data, technology, and   new ideas . • Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to manage your own time and priorities.
