Sitting at the forefront of our go-to-market strategy, the BDR is responsible for outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and opportunity creation. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers, building relationships with finance and business leaders, uncovering their challenges, and creating high-quality sales opportunities for our Account Executives. What you'll do Proactively identify and engage prospective customers across Singapore and Japan through outbound channels, including phone, email, LinkedIn, and other social selling activities. Research target accounts and key stakeholders to deliver personalised and relevant outreach. Build and nurture relationships with Japanese-speaking and English-speaking prospects to generate new business opportunities. Qualify prospects against agreed criteria, including ideal customer profile, business challenges, buying intent, and solution fit. Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to execute territory plans, campaigns, and account-based initiatives. Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, activities, and opportunities within the CRM. Continuously refine messaging and outreach strategies based on market feedback, campaign performance, and insights from customer conversations. Develop a strong understanding of finance, consolidation, planning, and compliance challenges faced by enterprise organisations. What you bring to the table Initial experience in business development, outbound sales, lead generation, or another customer-facing commercial role, or a strong desire to build a career in B2B SaaS sales. Fluency in both Japanese and English , with the ability to confidently engage business stakeholders in both languages. Confidence initiating conversations with new contacts, including senior finance, accounting, and business decision-makers. Strong communication, listening, and discovery skills, with the ability to uncover business needs and identify opportunities. A proactive, resilient, and target-oriented mindset, comfortable operating in a high-activity outbound environment. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail when managing follow-ups, pipelines, and CRM hygiene. Interest in SaaS, finance technology, and learning complex business domains. Experience working with Japanese customers or within Japanese business environments would be advantageous,
