Description
About Zinkworks Zinkworks partners with leading Telecommunications and Financial Services organizations to modernize legacy systems, migrate mission-critical platforms to the cloud, and engineer AI-driven automation. From OSS transformation to rApp development and network intelligence, our teams simplify complexity and turn it into competitive advantage. Based in Ireland and operating across the EU, UK, and US, Zinkworks combines deep domain expertise with delivery excellence to help clients modernize faster and operate smarter. About the role We're delivering a strategic enhancement to a leading global bank's Cleared OTC Derivatives platform, extending it to support a new central-clearing flow across two legal entities. We're looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner who can own requirements analysis end-to-end — from data structure and lineage documentation through development and an extended UAT/SIT cycle. This is a hybrid role. Alongside core business analysis, you'll take on self-management / delivery ownership for the team (a Technical Program Manager / Scrum Master remit) — running Agile ceremonies, managing the backlog, and keeping delivery on track. You don't need to be the deepest domain specialist on cleared derivatives on day one: our team supplements OTC and platform-specific knowledge. What matters is a strong capital-markets BA foundation and the ability to get up to speed fast. What you'll do Lead the initial analysis phase — document complex financial data structures, transformation logic, and end-to-end data lineage across ingestion, internal data models, and downstream feeds (ledger, risk/margin, audit). Translate business and regulatory needs into clear, prioritised user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria. Own and groom the product/team backlog; run sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies; manage change control. Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, client-side project managers, and the development team. Stay engaged through the full UAT/SIT cycle — triage results, explain unusual outcomes, support bug resolution, and drive delivery of post-go-live enhancements (e.g. account/entity setup automation). Collaborate effectively within a complex, controls-heavy banking environment. Required experience Proven Business Analyst / Product Owner experience within Financial Services — ideally capital markets, prime services, derivatives, or a related institutional/investment-banking domain . Strong requirements-gathering, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills in large, complex organisations. Experience with data-centric analysis — source-to-target mapping, data lineage/transformation documentation, and working with data flowing across multiple downstream systems. Comfortable writing SQL and interrogating relational databases to validate data and investigate issues. Hands-on Agile delivery experience, with the ability to self-manage a team (backlog ownership, sprint planning, Scrum Master / delivery-lead responsibilities). Confident operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and communicating clearly across technical and business audiences. Nice to have Direct experience with Cleared OTC Derivatives and their trade lifecycle (clearing, margin, ledger/risk feeds). Familiarity with Central Counterparty (CCP) operations and interfaces, and ideally LCH SwapAgent or similar CCP platforms. Exposure to the underlying tech stack ( Java, Oracle DB, Spring , messaging via IBM MQ / Kafka) — enough to converse with engineers and reason about integration into legacy systems. Experience integrating with and enhancing existing enterprise / legacy applications rather than greenfield builds. Prior delivery within a Tier 1 bank or similarly regulated institution. Why this role You'll work on a high-visibility, business-critical ini
