This role will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality sales data, producing reliable reports, and translating sales activity into clear, actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Based in Bangalore, this role is designed for an analyst with 2+ years of experience who is comfortable working with structured data, collaborating with global stakeholders, and operating in a process-driven, high-accountability environment.
Day to day responsibilities
Salesforce Data Quality & Governance
• Review and validate Salesforce opportunity records to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency (e.g., required fields, stage hygiene, attribution fields).
• Perform routine data quality checks and proactively flag data issues or trends to Sales Operations and business stakeholders.
• Partner with Sales Ops to support data standards, definitions, and usage guidelines across the sales lifecycle.
Reporting & Dashboards
• Build and maintain standard sales and pipeline reports using Salesforce, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI where applicable).
• Support recurring reporting cadences (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for sales performance, pipeline health, and forecasting inputs.
• Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and clearly explained, with appropriate commentary on trends and drivers.
Sales & Performance Insights
• Analyze sales data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities across pipeline, win/loss, and deal progression.
• Translate data into concise insights for leadership reporting, highlighting “what changed,” “why it matters,” and “what to watch.”
• Support ad hoc analysis requests from Sales and Commercial Operations teams.
Leadership & Stakeholder Support
• Contribute data analysis and supporting materials for leadership reviews and executive-level reporting.
• Work closely with global stakeholders across time zones, ensuring clarity, responsiveness, and strong follow-through.
• Document assumptions, logic, and data sources to support transparency and repeatability.
Essential traits
• 2+ years of experience as a Sales Analyst, Sales Operations Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of data ownership and accountability.
• Hands-on experience working with Salesforce (reporting, opportunity data, fields, and basic data validation).
• Strong proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, basic data modeling).
• Experience preparing management or leadership-facing reports.
• A disciplined, process-oriented analyst who cares deeply about data quality.
• Someone who can move beyond reporting to provide meaningful insights.
• A team player who is comfortable operating in a matrixed, global organization.
• An individual motivated to grow into broader analytics or business operations responsibilities over time.
Prerequisites
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related analytical field.
• Exposure to Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Experience supporting global or regional sales teams in a professional services, consulting, or B2B environment.
• Familiarity with sales KPIs such as pipeline, win rate, average deal size, and sales cycle metrics.
• Ability to clearly explain data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
