Job Overview Mercier Consultancy Group is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Bulgarian Speaking Content Moderator to join a leading social media platform team based on-site in Athens, Greece. This is a fantastic opportunity for Bulgarian-speaking professionals to play a vital role in maintaining the safety, integrity, and quality of one of the world's most dynamic social media environments. If you are passionate about digital communities, online safety, and responsible social media use, this Bulgarian Speaking Content Moderator position in Greece could be the perfect next step in your career. Key Responsibilities Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content submitted on the social media platform in Bulgarian and English, ensuring full compliance with community guidelines and platform policies. Identify and action content that violates platform standards, including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, harassment, and other harmful social media content. Accurately categorise and escalate sensitive or complex cases to senior moderation teams or trust and safety specialists when required. Monitor social media trends, emerging threats, and evolving content patterns to help the platform stay ahead of harmful activity. Maintain rigorous daily productivity and quality targets while upholding a high standard of accuracy across all moderation decisions. Provide clear, concise written feedback and documentation on moderation cases in line with internal reporting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including policy, legal, and trust and safety departments to continuously refine content moderation standards. Participate in regular calibration sessions and training updates to stay current with the latest platform policies and social media industry developments. Requirements Native or fluent Bulgarian language skills (both spoken and written) are essential for this role. Valid EU passport or EU citizenship is mandatory. A good working knowledge of English is required for internal communications and platform documentation. Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related social media or digital environment is advantageous. Strong critical thinking and sound judgement, with the ability to make consistent, well-reasoned decisions under pressure. High level of cultural awareness, emotional resilience, and sensitivity when handling potentially distressing or challenging content. Excellent attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and the ability to maintain focus and productivity throughout shifts.
