Description
A multi-disciplinary property partnership is looking to recruit a Building Surveyor  to provide a full range of Building Surveying services to their varied client base . They  have grown to be one of the largest and most respected property consultancy’s in the UK with a network of offices across England and Wales. From private landowners to local authorities, pension funds to farmers, their client experience is among the most varied in UK property. Role & Responsibilities: • To assist in generating fees through the management and development of existing and new clients. • To provide a full building surveying service to external clients and in house where required • Carry out Building Surveys of all types of commercial buildings and at times residential properties • Preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations • Project management, contract administration and design for refurbishment projects for commercial premises • Undertaking CDM Co-ordinator role for in-house and external clients. • Providing a full Party Wall etc Act 1996 service to Building and Adjoining owners • Preparation of Schedules of Condition • Advising clients on preventative maintenance and planned maintenance strategy and implementing same. • Investigating and advising client on specific building problems / defects • Fire insurance valuations for commercial buildings and property portfolios • Acting as expert witness in building or property disputes and providing appropriate reports etc • Undertaking DDA access audits Skills & Experience: • MRICS Qualified or working towards chartership • Broad range of experience in professional and project work • Strong communication skills – verbal and written • Ability to demonstrate technical competence. • Current driving license. • Excellent time management skills.
