Description
A Hands-On Leadership Role in Our Assisted Living Community Are you someone who can run a crew and run a budget? We're a smaller, close-knit Assisted Living Community looking for a Building Ops & Housekeeping Working Lead — someone just as comfortable rolling up their sleeves as they are managing a vendor contract or reviewing a budget. This is a true hybrid role: hands-on work alongside your team, combined with real ownership over supervision, vendors, and budget. Because we're a smaller community, your decisions have a direct, visible impact — you'll see the results of your work every day. What You'll Own • Team Leadership: Supervise housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and grounds staff — hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating • Hands-On Support: Work the floor alongside your team as a true working lead • Vendor Oversight: Review bids, select contract services, and hold vendors accountable to quality • Budget Management: Direct and monitor the annual building operations budget • Preventative Maintenance: Build and maintain a preventative maintenance program • Safety & Compliance: Serve as Emergency Preparedness Coordinator; ensure OSHA, Life Safety Code, and regulatory compliance • Waste Management: Oversee proper handling of waste, including recycling and hazardous/infectious materials What We're Looking For • Experience supervising a housekeeping, environmental services, or facilities team (senior living, healthcare, or hospitality) • Comfort managing budgets and evaluating vendor contracts • Willingness to work hands-on alongside your team • Familiarity with Life Safety Codes, OSHA, and emergency preparedness (or ability to learn quickly) • A mentorship-driven leadership style Why Join Us As a smaller community, we offer less bureaucracy and more autonomy — a chance to truly build your department, with real ownership over your team, vendors, and budget. If you're a working lead at heart, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us maintain a safe, sanitary, welcoming home for our residents.
