Bryden pi Limited is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Hospital, Equipment and Supplies Division: PRODUCT SPECIALIST – SURGICAL TEAM The incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of Surgical Sales within assigned territories across Trinidad & Tobago (North, East, West, and South) . This role requires a high level of flexibility, including availability for weekends, surgical cases, and support within operating theatre environments . Some Main Responsibilities include: • The incumbent will be responsible for: • Working alongside and providing clinical support to medical professionals during surgical procedures. • Presenting, promoting, and selling medical products and equipment through strong clinical knowledge and commercial expertise. • Assessing customer needs and recommending appropriate products based on product specifications, applications, and requirements. • Creating demand and identifying new business opportunities within assigned territories. • Establishing, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and healthcare professionals. • Visiting public and private healthcare institutions to identify opportunities, assess customer needs, and expand business growth. • Demonstrating, training, and educating customers on the operation and use of medical products and equipment. • Preparing sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations • Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets and business objectives. • Completing product training and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical data, product developments, and industry trends. • Providing technical support and consulting with medical personnel regarding product applications, troubleshooting, and best practices. • Collaborating with internal teams to share market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive activity, and sales strategies. • Attending sales meetings, conferences, trade shows, and industry events to support business development. • Monitoring market conditions, business trends, competitor activity, and healthcare developments. • Coordinating product installations, commissioning, and ongoing customer support. • Ensuring all equipment required for surgical procedures is available, prepared, and properly sterilized. • Tracking and collecting payments related to surgical procedures at private healthcare institutions. • Providing weekly reports to the direct supervisor, including customer visits, sales activities, competitor updates, opportunities, and relevant market intelligence. • Performing other duties as required to support the continued growth and effectiveness of the Hospital Equipment & Supplies Division. Qualification, Experience and Requirement: • BSc Degree or minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position or relevant combination of training and experience in a surgical environment • Valid Police Certificate of Good Character • Must own a vehicle in good working condition • Computer literacy required, including proficiency in Microsoft Word; knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be an asset Key Competencies: • The ideal candidate should demonstrate: • Maturity, confidence, humility, ownership, and patience. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Ability to function confidently within a surgical/operating theatre environment.
