Eram Talent is seeking an experienced Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Farm Technician to join our team. The BSF Farm Worker / Technician will support and execute all activities across the BSF production cycle, including breeding, incubation, larvae rearing, harvesting, and initial processing of products. The ideal candidate will follow supervisors' instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meticulously, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to optimizing production processes through consistent record-keeping and observation Responsibilities: Manage daily BSF farm operations including egg collection, larvae rearing, feeding, and harvesting. Assist in breeding and egg management of Black Soldier Fly colonies. Prepare and manage organic feed substrates, ensuring larvae receive proper nutrition. Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation, and substrate quality) for all BSF lifecycle stages. Track larvae growth, health, and density, making adjustments as needed. Harvest larvae at the correct stage and perform initial processing (washing, drying, separation, and weighing). Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of containers, equipment, and the facility. Record production data, track yields, and report observations to supervisors. Follow all daily instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately. Requirements Minimum 3 years of practical experience in Black Soldier Fly farming or insect rearing. Associate diploma or equivalent; further education in agriculture, biology, environmental science, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in farming, animal husbandry, insect rearing, or organic waste management is advantageous. Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and handle BSF lifecycle tasks accurately. Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 kg, standing, bending, and handling organic materials. Comfortable and willing to work closely with live insects and organic substrates. Strong attention to detail, observational skills, and accuracy in record-keeping. Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays, and able to follow all biosafety, health, and PPE protocols..
