As a PDR BIW Heavy Repair Technician , you will be responsible for performing advanced structural and cosmetic repairs on Body-in-White (BIW) components using paintless dent repair (PDR) and heavy repair techniques. Your work ensures that every Lucid vehicle body is flawless before it moves to paint and final assembly.
Key Responsibilities
Execute paintless dent repair (PDR) on aluminum and steel BIW panels using precision tools.
Perform heavy structural repairs including panel replacement, straightening, and welding to restore OEM specifications.
Diagnose damage and determine appropriate repair methods using Lucid’s repair standards and documentation.
Operate equipment such as frame alignment systems, MIG/TIG welders, rivet guns, and hydraulic tools .
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure repair accuracy and traceability.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts usage, and inspection results.
Uphold Lucid’s commitment to safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement .
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in automotive BIW repair, collision repair, or OEM manufacturing .
Proficiency in PDR techniques and heavy structural repair of aluminum and high-strength steel.
Familiarity with EV platforms and advanced body materials .
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, repair manuals, and digital work instructions .
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Certification in automotive repair, welding, or collision repair preferred.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment .
